Technique Tuesday - Partial Images

Hello there! Today I want to share a project that shows a couple of ways to do the same thing.  There are times in our crafting when we don't want to use the entire image on a stamp. Maybe it is too big for your layout, or the wording isn't quite right. Whatever the reason, there are multiple ways to limit what part of a stamp (and even an embossing folder) you use on a project.

Keep in mind, these are only a couple of methods to get a partial image when stamping. There are several more such as using your Stampin' Write Markers (or any other water-based marker) to only ink up the part of the image you want to stamp. (This does NOT work with our Stampin' Blends, or any other alcohol based marker, as they dry too quickly and will not transfer well.) And, in some cases, you can even cut your stamp apart so you only ink up the part you want. I've done this in the past with some of my images that had words under them. I cut the words off so I had two separate stamps instead of one.

Measurements:

  • Petal Pink card base - 4 1/4 x 5 1/2
  • White card base - 8 x 5 1/4
  • White card panel - 3 7/8 x 5 1/8
  • Petal Pink panel- 1 1/4 x 4
I challenge you this week to take a look at the stamp sets you have and see if there are new ways you can use them by only using a part of the images in the set.

I hope you have enjoyed today's post. If you decide to place an order through my website, if your order is less than $150, please use the Host Code listed above (on the right), so I can send you an extra free goody. If your order is over $150 don't use the code as you get to pick out the goody yourself when you place your order.

Till next time...
God's love and blessings!
