Cocoa & Crafts 11-4 A Snow Sledding Penguin Card

I'm sorry for being a couple days late. I think I'm still in a Thanksgiving day coma and didn't realize how quick this week has gone. Not to mention we are eagerly awaiting the arrival of our granddaughter and adjusting to life with a 5-year old in the house. 😊

On to our card this week. Isn't it cute?! As soon as I saw this penguin set I knew I had to make a slider card with it. I mean, really, how could you not? The mechanism looks like it should be complicated, but it really isn't. A simple slit hidden behind the first snowbank and our cute little snowbuddy can slide along the card front bringing some sweet wishes to a cool friend.

Here are the measurements for the card:

  • Card base 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored on the long side at 1/2 and 4 1/2
  • Slit is about 1 inch up from the 1/2 score line and 1/2 inch in from each side.
  • Inner panel 5 x 3 7/8
  • Back snowbank 5 1/2 x 2
  • Front snowbank 5 1/2 x 2
  • Strip for penguin to attach 1/2 x a couple inches and cut to fit.

Next month's classes will be a bit different. Grandbaby is due tomorrow and I'm sure things will be a bit crazy here the next few days. I will do my best to get kits shipped out as soon as the supplies arrive here and get all 4 projects posted the week of the 13th. Once we adjust to having a baby around the house, I hope to be back to a more regular schedule of posts and projects.

I hope you have enjoyed today's post. If you decide to place an order through my website, if your order is less than $150, please use the Host Code listed above (on the right), so I can send you an extra free goody. If your order is over $150 don't use the code as you get to pick out the goody yourself when you place your order.

Till next time...
God's love and blessings!
