Fun Fold Friday - Seasonal Branches

Hello there! It's Fun Fold Friday! By adding a few extra score lines to your card, you can make the front pop out a bit to give your image some dimension. I had fun playing with the flowers in the Seasonal Branches Die set. I love that the die not only cuts the flowers, but adds a bit of embossed veining details as well.

As promised, here are the measurements for this card:

  • Card base - 4 1/4 x 11
    • scored on the long side at 1/4, 1/2, 5, 5 1/4, 5 1/2, 5 3/4, 6, 10 1/2, 10 3/4
That's it! Coloring and adhering the flowers is a little bit fiddly, but the finished card is worth it, I think.

I hope you have enjoyed today's post. If you decide to place an order through my website, if your order is less than $150, please use the Host Code listed above (on the right), so I can send you an extra free goody. Fun Fold Friday Jar of Flowers

Hello there! I'm here with another Fun Fold Friday. The Jar of Flowers stamp set is the perfect set to make a slider pop-up card. It looks difficult, but it really isn't.

Measurements for this card:

  • Petal Pink background piece -5 1/2 x 4 1/4
  • White panel - 4 x 4
  • Blackberry Bliss background piece - 5 1/4 x 4 scored at 1 1/2 on long side
  • Designer Series Paper piece - 1 1/2 x 9
  • Blackberry Bliss pop-up piece - 3 1/2 x 1 1/2 scored at 1/2 on long side
  • Blackberry Bliss pop-up mechanism - 1 1/2 x 1/2 scored at 1/2 & 1
  • Petal Pink pop-up mechanism - 2 3/4 x 1 1/2 scored at 1/2 & 2 1/4
I would wrap your Designer Series Paper around your base a little tighter than I did in the video so your card will stay in position. Oh, and as soon as I finished the video I remembered that the name of those leaves are eucalyptus leaves. 😊 Told you they were on the tip of my tongue. 😉

I hope you have enjoyed today's post. Fun Fold Friday - Wisteria Wishes

Hello there! I'm here today with a Floral Fun Fold Friday card for you. When I first got my Wisteria Wishes stamp set I had in my head the idea to make a pop out trellis or arbor for the wisteria vines to hang from, but just never sat down to figure out a way to make it happen. Since this set is retiring soon, I thought I better sit down and see if I could make it work. Turns out it was a lot easier than I was imagining.

Measurements for this card:

  • Card base - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4
  • White panels inside and out - 5 1/4 x 4
  • Smoky Slate frame - 5 1/2 x 4 1/4
  • Smoky Slate arbor/trellis piece inside - 1/2 x 5 1/4 scored at 1/2, 4 1/4, 4 3/4
Yay! I'm so glad I was able to make this. Now to go play in my crafty space and give the rest of my retiring stamp sets a little love before I get to play with some new stuff. 😊

Fun Fold Friday-A Legendary Slider

Hello there! I'm here today with a super Fun Fold Friday!! I have to admit, I almost didn't post this card though. It took three tries to get the video done correctly (completely user error with the camera). That wouldn't have been a big deal except I only have one pack of the Ready to Ride Designer Series Paper right now (definitely going to have to remedy that quick!) which means I only have two of the gas station panels, so I had to tear the card apart twice to make sure I could get a good video for you. Thankfully our DSP is pretty durable and I was able to make it work.

As promised, here are the dimensions for this fun card:
  • Card base 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/8 and 8 1/4 on the long side. Cut slit 1 inch from the 1/4 inch section (see video)
  • Gas station panel was cut from DSP
  • Inside Panel 4 x 5
  • Outside road 1 1/8
  • Inside road 1 1/16
  • Scrap piece for attaching motorcycle about 3 inch length and 1/2 - 1 inch wide (see video)
  • Ribbon 2 1/2 inches
I hope you like it!!

Fun Fold Friday-Cheerful Basket

Hello there! How are you on this beautiful day? I'm not sure what the weather looks like where you are, but here in Wisconsin we are, once again, having a bit of a snowfall. It's looking like spring is going to be a long time in coming for us. I'm ok with that as it gives me another excuse to stay inside and craft, however, my tulips would probably like to wake up from their winter nap sometime before fall.

The view from my deck this week. There's a flower bed under all that snow!

I hope you like the card I designed for today. It has a little flap that tucks behind the heart-filled basket just to give the card a little extra something.

Measurements for this card:

  • Card base- 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4
  • Base flap piece- 5 1/2 x 2 1/4 scored on short side at 1/2. Mark 3/4 from score on top edge. Cut from score to bottom corner. (see video)
  • Blue DSP panel- 5 1/4 x 4
  • Yellow DSP panel- 5 1/4 x 1 1/2 (see video for cutting)
  • Inside panel- 5 1/4 x 4 OR 5 3/8 x 4 1/8 if you want less of the seam to show
I really like this stamp and die set. Now that I've pulled it out, I'll have to play with it a bit more.

Fun Fold Friday-Nature's Harvest

Hello there! I'm here today with a super easy Fun Fold Friday. By simply adding one extra fold line to a typical card, you get a card that opens up so you can see the front and inside at the same time.

I used the pretty Nature's Harvest stamp set for this card and used our watercolor pencils and blender pens to color the flowers. It makes for a simple, yet elegant card, I think.

To get the single flower on the inside I masked off the tallest flower with tape and just carefully inked the one on the left. I could have used a Stampin' Write Black Marker, but I was afraid it would bleed a bit when using the Blender Pen as it is a water based ink.

The extra fold for this card is right in the middle of the front panel, so the card folds in a Z. The front decorative panel is only adhered on the left and is just a bit larger than the inside panel so as to hide it when the card is closed.

What do you think? A super easy way to add a little something extra to a card.

Card Measurements:
  • Card base 4 1/4 x 11 scored on long side at 2 3/4, 5 1/2
  • DSP panel 4 1/4 x 2 3/4
  • Merry Merlot panel 3 1/4 x 4 3/4
  • Both Basic White panels 3 x 4 1/2

Fun Fold Friday Legendary Ride

Hello there! I'm here today with an easy Fun Fold Friday. I knew I had to get the Legendary Ride set as soon as I saw the new mini catalog. I have quite a few people in my life who love their motorcycles (my handsome hubby, being one of them), so I plan on using this set for quite a few birthday cards this year.

This is actually a flat card in that it doesn't open up like usual, but it does have a fold in it, actually a couple of folds. It's super easy though. Let's see how to make it.

As promised in the video, here are the measurements:

  • Card base- 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 score at 2 3/4 after adhering Smokey Slate layer
  • Smokey Slate layer- 4 x 5 1/4
  • Front white panel- 3 1/4 x 5 score long side at 1/2 and 4 1/2 before stamping
    • score at 2 1/2 after stamping
  • Back white panel- 4 1/8 x 2 5/8
  • Pumpkin Pie strip- 1 x 6 1/2
  • DSP strip cut between tire marks 6 inches long

Fun Fold Friday-Easel Card

Hello there! I'm back today with a Fun Fold Friday. Since I posted my card on Wednesday, I realized for some it might have been confusing on how the card goes together, so here is a quick video of another easel card for those of us who are more visual learners. 😊

The measurements for this card are:

  • Card base- 11 x 4 1/4 scored on the long side at 2 3/4 and 5 1/2
  • Card front- 5 1/2 x 4 1/2
  • Blushing Bride front panel- 5 1/8 x 3 7/8
  • DSP front panel- 4 7/8 x 3 5/8
  • DSP inside panel- 2 3/4 x 4
  • Blushing Bride inside panel- 2 x 2 1/2
I hope you have enjoyed today's post. Fun Fold Friday-Hot Cocoa Mug

Hello there! I'm back today with another Fun Fold Friday project. It's that time of year when it's fun to hand out little gifts to special people in our lives, and I think this is a perfect gift to give. This paper mug is large enough to hold a hot cocoa packet, candy cane, marshmallows, and even a biscotti or other cookie. It's also quick to make, which is nice if you need a lot of gifts.

You don't necessarily have to put cocoa in this, you could add some tea bags and some specialty flavored honeys, or maybe some coffee and chocolates. There's quite a few options here. I used the Frosted Gingerbread Bundle for this mug, but it would also work well with the Brew Some Fun set if you want to make it coffee or tea themed.

The measurements are pretty easy:
  • Cup-5 1/2 x 8 1/2
    • scored on short side at 2 inch
    • scored on long side at 2, 4, 6 and 8 inch just to the 2 inch score line (see video)
  • Handle-1/2 x 11
    • add Tear-n-Tape 3 inch on one end and 3 1/2 inch on the other
Here's the supplies needed:

Fun Fold Friday--Penguin Gift Card Holder

Hello there! I thought it would be fun to pop in here every once in a while and share a Fun Fold Friday card or project. Today's Fun Fold is super, super easy. I mean, really, super easy. I did forget a step at first, so keep watching after I say good by in the video as there's a little bit added on. 😊

See, I told you it was easy. This was one of the cards we made at my World Card Making Day Card Buffet. I love this set because, while it does feel like it should be for Christmas, it also has sentiments that could be used for a variety of occasions, making it pretty versatile.

Measurements for this card:

  • Base: 11x8.5 scored at 4.5 & 5.5
  • Front panel and inside are both 4x4

Here's what I used to make this card:
